Original Fiction Drabbles - Week Eighteen
2013-Feb-08, Friday 10:49 pmSo much Yu this week! XD
Un, deux, trois… - February 2nd, 2013 [Yukio Katsukawa, Masami Katsukawa]
“And one, and two, and three…”
Toes pointed gracefully, Yu followed each verbal count and clap of his mother’s hands with precision. He knew the price he’d pay for any misstep, and each imperfect position.
“Stop.”
Freezing in place, long leg extended out to the side and slender arms arched above his head, it was impossible not to feel fear in his belly as she closed the space between them.
He had no idea what he’d done wrong this time, and even as he held his position, he tried to recreate each move in his head to pinpoint his error.
Admiration – February 3rd, 2013 [Yukio Katsukawa, Makoto Nanami]
Going to the theatre is Makoto’s only real time to unwind, to relax and get away from the violence and pressure of his work.
Still… he never expected to do something as silly as fall in love with the principal dancer of London’s finest troupe. Watching Yukio Katsukawa dance though – if he were the fanciful type – is an almost magical experience.
The younger man moves with such grace and precision across the stage, but he also seems to move in a way that makes it seem like the music is playing for him, rather than him dancing to the music.
Past the Surface – February 4th, 2013 [Yukio Katsukawa, Makoto Nanami]
If there’s one thing that Makoto knows, it’s pain, and while he may not have seen it when Yu danced, it’s almost impossible to miss when he’s only a few feet away from the beautiful dancer.
Slender shoulders are tight with tension as he stands next to his mother, and Makoto finds his mouth thinning a little bit at the faint but noticeable look of pain in beautiful brown eyes, especially in conjunction with the surprisingly hard look in his mother’s eyes.
He’s not an idiot by any means, and it doesn’t take a genius to know something’s very wrong.
Exterior Illusions – February 5th, 2013 [Yukio Katsukawa, Daiki Ishizawa]
“Hooot…”
Daiki says softly, even as he can’t help the way his eyes travel up and down what looks like miles of long denim clad legs, thinking that this year might not be the total waste that he’d begun to think it would be when he first saw his classmates.
He doesn’t know the girl that’s standing in the classroom doorway, but from the top of her soft blond ponytail to the bottom of her cute little pink flats, he really wants to, and a quick glance around the room shows him that he’s definitely not the only one either.
Every Little Thing He Does is Magic – February 6th, 2013 [Cillian Catherwood/Torran MacKenna]
I can do magic.
Torran hadn’t thought that Cillian had meant those words literally, and he can’t stop staring at the cup that’s sitting in front of him.
It’s a plain looking cup, but that’s not why he’s staring at it. It’s the fact that it had originally been a bar of soap that has him practically boggling at his friend, making him wonder what else he hadn’t known about Cillian.
Still, he can see the panic in big blue eyes; worry all but radiating off his friend that he does his best to alleviate.
“You’re amazing… you know that?”
Exterior Illusions: Part 2 – February 7th, 2013 [Yukio Katsukawa, Daiki Ishizawa]
Jessica’s shy, but Daiki’s surprised to find that he doesn’t really mind. He normally goes after girls (and guys) who move at the same speed as him, but something about Jessica has him intrigued.
As much as he’s attracted to her though, he finds that it’s just… nice, to sit with her at lunch in the courtyard, doing his best to get her to open up and talk.
Learning about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her own mother has him burning with anger, and it makes him want to take her home for dinner to meet his.
Not Quite Courting – February 8th, 2013 [Christopher Larkin/Justin Nanami]
Chris has made more in tips this week from the handsome young man than he has in the last few months, even if he’d objected initially, shocked by his generosity.
The other man seems to be almost as shy as he is though, often averting dark eyes as he takes his coffee and hands over the too high payment.
It’s at the end of the second week a slice of chocolate cake appears in front of Chris while he’s sitting on his break, accompanied by a softly mumbled ‘for you’ before the man is gone, leaving him alone and blushing.
