Double Trouble – September 28th, 2012 [Matthew & Marcus Nanami, Makoto Nanami/Yukio Katsukawa]
Torn between being angry and impressed, Yu stared down at the twins, arms crossed over his chest. He knew that he wasn’t intimidating like Makoto, but he had the benefit of being their ‘mother’, and often that was enough to keep them in line.
“It wasn’t our fault!”
“Yeah, stupid dog-faced Dillon started it!”
Sighing softly, Yu allowed a small smile to curve his lips, because he couldn’t truly be angry with his sons for standing up against a bully.
“Don’t think you’re not in trouble… your father and I will discuss your punishment. For now, go do your homework.”
Can You Keep A Secret? – September 29th, 2012 [James Landon/Carter Valentine]
“You… are an idiot.”
Wincing a little at the brightness of the room as he opened his eyes, James groaned softly, closing his eyes against the light even as he struggled to speak.
“Wh… what’d I do now?” he managed to croak out, throat feeling raw and painful from coughing.
“You went on stage with pneumonia, you loony… Were you even thinking about yourself?”
About me? Carter thought, still hurt.
His first instinct was to argue that he hadn’t known it was that bad, but at the look on Carter’s face when he opened his eyes, he just couldn’t.
“Sorry…”
Screaming on the Inside – September 30th, 2012 [Shayden Hashimoto, Yukio Katsukawa]
It’s not that he hates his new job – or his new co-workers – it’s just that Shay doesn’t like being alone, and when Yu doesn’t talk at all it was just like being alone and he hated that.
When he realizes that Yu’s not silent at all; that he’s screaming loudly on the inside, Shay feels like his heart is breaking. He hates that no one even looked twice at Yu, and he hates the fact that he almost didn’t look either.
“I’m sorry,” he whispers, brushing Yu’s hair back from his temple, like an apology can change any of this.
From the Land of Nod – October 1st, 2012 [Tomoki Yonemura/Cillian Catherwood]
He knows it’s just a dream. The man who comes to him every night isn’t any more real than his wishes to have a voice, but the pleasure he feels in his dreams is all too real.
Every touch and kiss, every brush against his skin makes his body hum with pleasure long after he wakes, but by then he’s alone.
I wish you were real… he thinks, staring up into beautiful blue-grey eyes as he slowly comes down from his high. I need you to be real…
The other man smiles down at him, but it’s tinged with sadness.
A Different Kind of Pet – October 2nd, 2012 [Aki, Yukio Katsukawa]
The sight of the man’s – teen’s? – ears has Aki’s eyes widening in shock, but he doesn’t have time to think too deeply when the man is collapsing onto the pavement, pain etching his delicate features.
He’s not good with people, or touching, or caring, but something about this man with the cat ears and tail have him lifting his slight weight in his arms and carrying him to his car, even as he wonders what the hell he’s doing.
Now, watching the strange not-quite-man sleep in his hotel bed, he stupidly wonders if it’s wrong to want to keep him.
One Night in Cancun – October 3rd, 2012 [Carter Valentine/Jacob Knight]
“Nnh… m’head’s g’na ‘splode…”
Jake couldn’t help but snort at Carter’s mumbled words, muffled though they were by the pillow that the other man had smooshed against his face.
“I’d be less worried about that, and more worried about the fact that a maid just came in, screeched, and called us something that ended in ‘devils’.”
Groaning softly, Carter shifted slightly on the mattress, gradually lifting his head to look towards Jake blearily. “Your lack of a hangover is incredibly obnoxious… you know that, right?”
Grinning, Jake couldn’t help kissing Carter hard before bouncing off towards the bathroom to shower.
Painting the Future – October 4th, 2012 [Nozomu Ito/Shayden Hashimoto]
It’s dangerous and a big step. It most likely won’t ruin their careers, not like it would have ruined Nocchi’s life back at home, but they both can’t help but worry, because this isn’t just about them anymore.
Still, Nocchi knows he wants to do this, and he’s glad that Shay’s okay with it.
Seeing the final images in the pages of the glossy magazine feels different than he expected though, and he’s not sure whether he wants to feel relief or worry as he stares down at all the pictures of his tattoo and the interview that accompanies them.
