Original Fiction Drabbles - Week Three
Unfinished – August 10th, 2012 [Yukio Katsukawa/Daiki Ishizawa, Kazuya Ishizawa, Emi Ishizawa]
“Do they have ears?” Daiki whispered as softly as he could, though he couldn’t keep the eagerness from his voice. He’d spent Yu’s entire pregnancy hoping that the twins would be graced with the same delicate cat ears that his lover possessed – though they’d known early on from the ultrasounds that they wouldn’t have tails.
Smiling tiredly, Yu let Daiki peek inside the swaddled bundles to see the soft downy ears that were black like his own.
“They have ears!”
Daiki’s enthusiasm was contagious and Yu couldn’t keep his soft laugh inside. He was just glad they were healthy.
Restitution – August 11th, 2012 [Yukio Katsukawa/Brandon Kimura]
Aki’d never been good with people. He knew why – when you’re raised from the age of five to feel nothing and to kill when asked, it was hard to be good with your perceived victims.
Somehow though… Yu was different.
Maybe it was the fact that Yu was almost as broken as he was, or maybe it was the life he was growing inside him, he wasn’t sure.
All Aki knew was that he would do anything to keep the other man safe, no matter what.
He just couldn’t understand why Yu wanted to do the same thing for him…
Unexpected Brother – August 12th, 2012 [Christopher Larkin, Alliance Jinks]
“I… g-got this f-for you…”
He holds out the small black stuffed pig, keeping a careful amount of space between himself and the small boy.
Chris’ never met someone more frightened than him, and he feels a little guilty, to think that he’s so afraid of things when Allie has been through much more than he’ll probably ever know.
Allie just stares at him with wide green eyes full of hurt and pain, and there’s a tightness in Chris’ chest. Allie might not have been a brother he’d been expecting… but he was going to love him all the same.
Again For the Last Time – August 13th, 2012 [James Landon/Makoto Nanami]
They blame it on the weather – it’s been snowing for days and they just can’t seem to pull apart.
Neither has ever been the fanciful type. They don’t believe in fairy tales; they can’t after all that they’ve seen.
James can’t help but wonder if that’s why they’re clinging to each other now, unable to pull away though they’ve already come up with a dozen (and more) reasons of why they should have already parted; a perverse wish to be proven wrong by fate, to be shown that there can be a happily ever after even for men like them.
Falling Down; Getting Up – August 14th, 2012 [James Landon/Carter Valentine]
“I hate you. So much.”
“No you don’t, darling. Come on, try again.”
“No way! I’m sure that last run nearly killed me.”
Biting his bottom lip, Carter stifled a laugh, though it was hard. James looked so genuinely annoyed, glaring down at the skis still strapped to his feet.
“You were doing fine! Everyone falls in the beginning.”
He couldn’t be annoyed with Carter when it wasn’t his fault that skiing just wasn’t his thing, but James felt like he was ruining their vacation by being bad at the one thing there was to do.
“Fine. One more try.”
Through New Eyes – August 15th, 2012 [Daiki Ishizawa/Yukio Katsukawa]
“You mean… you have more of these?”
Daiki isn’t sure whether to laugh or cry at the awe in Yu’s expression; it’s adorable how excited he is over the prospect of watching more Disney movies, but it’s still so sad to think of the life the other teen has led until now.
“Yeah… Mum’s kept all of the movies she bought us as kids. We can watch however many you want.”
Yu’s face lights up at the thought of watching more of these wonderful films, and he turns back to the shelf, indecisive about which he wants to watch first.
First Impressions – August 16th, 2012 [Carter Valentine, Adam Jones, Trevelyn Jones]
“What’s he like, this friend of yours?”
Trev shrugs, not quite sure how to describe Carter to his father, especially with words that are parent friendly. “… outgoing… a genius.”
Adam searches his son’s expression as they dry the dishes, not sure how to interpret those two words. From Trev’s hesitation, he gets the idea that ‘friendly’ isn’t quite what his son means.
The silence is more than a little awkward, but Trev isn’t sure what to say. He likes Carter, and the other teen is a good friend, which means it’s none of his business who he’s sleeping with.

1. At first I was like, "Ew stupid Daikio," now I'm like "Aw... stupid Daikio..."
2. More preggo Yu! And aww, Aki~~~.
3. Awwwwww (is that a monokuro boo??) Chris will be a great older brother~. He might not stand up for himself, but he will for Allie. (Also, since you're saying "Chris has never" you need an "s" after the apostrophe. >.>)
4. Now I'm curious about which verse this is in. Aaaand now I'm also mourning the loss of your NaNo again. T^T
5. Okay that was adorable. Haha, cool!James sucks at skiing. XD
6. Dammit more Daikio!! Stupid Daiki... Maybe I'll write him next week.
7. Haha, I'm glad I didn't steal that prompt after all. Though now I'm tempted to tell the Adam-sends-Carter-down-the-gay-path part of the story. XD

3. Yesss a boo for Allie~. And I was torn on the extra s, it looked wrong. XD
4. Mm, I didn't really set a 'verse for this one, it's just basically they're "bad" guys and snowed in in a lodge.
5. :3 I love the idea of ~cool~ James sucking at something as mundane as skiing, but wanting to try hard for someone else anyway.
6. Bwaha!! >.>; This one made me a little sad though, thinking about Yu never having seen any movies before meeting Daiki.
7. Do itttt. It'd be funny!
